Nursery Admissions
If you would like your child to attend our nursery in September 2026, please complete and return an application form and SIF to the school office.
Tours for prospective families take place every Thursday morning. Please contact the office to book your place.
School Admissions - Reception
All applications for a reception place at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary school must be made via Southend Local Authority. https://www.southend.gov.uk/school-admissions/primary-school-admissions-1
Reception Cohort 2026-27: All SIFs and supporting documents must be provided to the school by 4pm, Thursday 15th January 2026.
Mid-Year Admissions
An application can be made for a child in any year group at any time outside the admission round and the child will be admitted where there are available places. An application should be made to the school by completing the in-year admissions application form and returning it to the school.
Where there are places available but more applications than places, the published oversubscription criteria, as set out in the admission arrangements. Parents are advised to read the admission arrangements carefully before making their application.
If there are no places available, the child will be added to the waiting list. Please see the admission arrangements for more details.
You will be advised of the outcome of your application in writing as soon as possible. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application within 15 school days of receipt, but the aim is to notify applicants of the outcome of their application within 10 school days of receipt.
You have a right to appeal to an independent appeal panel if your application is unsuccessful. Click here for further information
If you have any questions in relation to in-year admissions, please contact Mrs Lynch in the school office. You may also wish to discuss in-year applications with Southend Borough Council, the Local Authority.
Supplementary Information Form (SIF)
When applying for a place, all families should complete a Supplementary Information Form (SIF) which can be returned to the school office. Catholic families may wish to ask their priest for a Certificate of Catholic Practice and submit this along with a copy of their child's Baptism certificate.
The Governing Body welcomes all applications, from non-practising Catholics, those of other Christian faiths, those of other faiths or those who have none, where parents and children wish to support our Catholic ethos.
